Ultimate Chocolate Bark
I am a big fan of all things dark chocolate but this ultimate dark chocolate bark is my current favorite way to eat it! Dark chocolate (we’re talking 72% cacao or higher) is great for fighting stress and relieving anxiety because of the amount magnesium it contains. Magnesium is a mineral that naturally calms the stress hormone, cortisol, to boost our mood. I love to add pumpkin seeds to this bark because those also work some stress-less magic. But you can add in any mix-in’s that you like the most like chopped peanuts or almonds, cranberries, pistachio nuts, hemp hearts…all great options. And since I was going for a full stress-free vibe when making I added in one of my secret wellness weapons, Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract CBD Oil from Manitoba Harvest (totally optional!)
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of dark chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup of raw pumpkin seeds (or your mix-ins)
- 1 tincture of Manitoba Harvest Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract CBD Oil
- pinch of sea salt
Directions:
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between
- Add in seeds or other mix-ins, stir to combine
- Add in 1 complete bottle of CBD oil (or your preferred amount) and stir to combine
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add chocolate mixture to paper, spreading out evenly
- Sprinkle sea salt on top and place in freezer for at least 30 minutes
- Once firm, remove from freezer and break bark up into pieces…and ENJOY!
*For storage, I keep mine in the fridge to maintain firmness and shape
