Post-Workout Recovery Smoothie

After a morning run or spin class this is the perfect recovery smoothie breakfast that gives me everything I need after a great sweat session. It is super hydrating, high in protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Build your own perfect smoothie that won’t derail your hard workout with this quick guide. And, pro-tip: aim to eat within 30 minutes after working out to boost your muscle recovery and curb food cravings later on.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of spinach
- 1 cup pineapple (or 1 small banana)
- 4 oz plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of hemp hearts
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 8 oz unsweetened almond milk
Directions:
- In blend, combine all ingredients and pulse until desired consistency. If too thick, add ice slowly and continue to blend until desired consistency is reached.
